Kinsley Sage Woolf

Our little Kinsley had her 1 month birthday yesterday. Grandma Renee spent the afternoon holding her. She is such a cuddle bug and I've never seen a baby who smiles as much as she does at this age. I know they say she is too young, but she always looks so happy and I swear I've even heard her giggle. I just think she is a very smart baby and also a good one! Yesterday, I changed her diaper twice while she was asleep and she didn't even cry. Her parents tell us the only time she cries is when she is hungry. She came to us on March 17th and was 7 lb 14oz and 191/2 inches long. We love her so very much and appreciate all her mother went through to get her into this world. We also appreciate all she does now, Wendy is a wonderful mother and wife to our Brandon. We are so happy for them and their family. I don' t think I've ever seen Brandon so happy and content with his life. Kinsley is definitely a blessing to us all.

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun

Saturday is a special day, it's the day I went to see Makayla play soccer. She scored once this week and twice last week (while playing in the cold and rain). She is the best player and the cutest one too!

After the game we had lunch, shopped, and then went to see Drill Bit Taylor. This movie was really funny and we had the best day ever! Makayla has a great personality and she is also very smart and a awesome singer.

Love Ya Makayla. Keep doing good things! Your turn next Jada.

Bad Hair Day

Have you ever had one of those days when you wake up and want to shave all the hair off your head? I've had several!
Once, I decided to cut my own cut my own bangs. I ended up looking like Moe from The Three Stooges. My mom still made me go to school the next day, but my friends helped me through the crisis.

I've also had some bad perms, unless you like looking like a poodle.

One of the worst hair cuts was the one I got while I was preggers with Nicole. I decided I wanted the Dorthy Hamill hair cut. When I got home, Ryan asked me if I liked my hair but he had a huge smirk on his face. He started to laugh and told me not to worry that it would grow back. He felt really bad when I began crying uncontrollably (I think).
This one's for the girls who have bad hair days. You're beautiful the way you are!!

Melissa, if and when you read this, I want you to know how much I appreciate our conversations and friendship that goes way back. You are such a sweet heart and I love the way you do my hair. I always get compliments on the cut, and I think the color is absolutely fabulous.

Here is my after photo but we had more fun taking the before photo.

Wicked by Gregory Maguire

Book review: I give this book a 3 star rating. I decided to read it because I was such a fan of the Wizard of Oz when I was a child. This book however is not for young readers because of the sexual content (R-Rated). Overall, I liked the way he took characters from an existing fantasy and created a world full of opposition and choices not so different from the ones we face in the world today.

The Wizard has a huge part, but you read little about him until the end of the book. He is the puppet master with the strings, so to speak. Living in OZ for forty years the Wizard wants to go home as much as Dorthy. Why is he the mighty OZ, living in Emerald City? Lots of twists and turns. Surprise Ending.

A FORCE YOU DON'T WANT WITH YOU

Here I am blogging at 1am. WHY? Simply put, Ryan is fast asleep in our snugly little bed snoring his head off. Yes, I went to bed early so I could get some shut eye before the storm blew in, but as usual he came to bed while I was yet awake and he fell asleep in less than 30 seconds. Does anyone have breath-right sabers for my sweet Darth Vader? I can even hear him from the couch. Help!!

Aim for the pocket

We're number one! Just kidding, but I did score a (176) today, which happens to be my best score in bowling EVER!! I've always enjoyed throwing my ball at the pins but I actually hit them today. My team won three of four games and that's pretty good for us. Its really all about the junk food, socializing, and most importantly friendship. It always helps to keep your mind out of the gutter though.

Poo-Poo Splatter!

This blog is not about Chinese cuisine! Plop, plop, whiz, whiz, oh what a pain it is. It all started on a beautiful sunny day while I was on my way to bowling ( April 3,2008). I had big plans for the day(bowling, shopping, reading, channel surfing, blogging, etc.) and then my stomach started to move around like a fish tank in an earthquake and that was it!!! I had to go home and spend the next four days on the porcelain throne. I am the biggest baby when it comes to sickness. I'm always sicker than anyone else and it last's twice as long. (You know the story, ten feet of snow both ways to school). Anyway, I'm hoping that I'm back to normal or shall I say better now. I'll never be completely normal. Here's to wishing you good health and wellness today and always.

Flower Child

Fashion in the sixties, this dress is a one and only "Scarlett O' Hara Mini" (designed by my mother). I'm guessing I was about 10 years old in this picture. I only wished I had kept the dress and my cat eye spectacles so my children could enjoy wearing them also. My sisters wore the floor length versions to prom with a hoop skirt underneath. They were the Bell of the Ball in those days!
Soon after, however, I rebelled and started to wear bell bottom pants, mini skirts, Levis in public, platform shoes, white lipstick, tunic tops, moccasins, and jewelry symbolic of Peace. My hair was long, straight, and often braided with Indian beads. It was the Hippie Era you know!
