Scattered pictures of the smiles we've left behind.

I started a major project this weekend. Over the next few weeks or months, I will be achiving over 60 plus years of photo memories of days gone by. This particular photo is one of the few taken of me when I was a baby. Note: photo sessions were rare back in the olden day's, unlike the thousands of digital pictures taken of a child's first year in today's world.

It has been said a picture is worth a thousand words. I believe that's true as long as the photo's are identified with names, dates, and stories. This is the purpose of my project. I want my children and grandchildren to know and recognize the people who made an impact on my life.

I don't remember this day at all, but it truly is me! This is what I do know, my mother made the dress and bonnet I'm wearing. She loved to dress me up like a doll! She waited nine years after my brother (Martin) was born to bring me into this world. My sister Christine was 12 years old and Janet was 17. My mother was 37 years in age and my dad was 42. Yes, I was a big surprise and I'm also the caboose. I was spoiled rotten of course but I'll talk about that later.

Reality TV

I'm not one for reality tv but when they came up with dancing with the hubbies I couldn't help myself. It's actually a miracle that I talked Ryan into it. I couldn't have done as well if I had another hubby, as you can see he is a natural. Anyway, the lines are now open to vote. If you really liked our performance call 1-800-hubs and vote for couple # 1.

I only hope they will come up with America's Idol for Seniors. Keep your fingers crossed for me! Don't worry though, I'm not into the romantic stuff plus I'm a married women. I will definately not run in some ridiculous rat race, stick my head in a bucket of bugs or even eat one, and finally I will not make a fool of myself by telling all my darkest secrets on national tv. IF I did happen to go on who wants to be a millionaire, I would take the first good offer and run!

Idol VS. Biggest Loser

VS.

I've always been a dreamer, the kind of dreams you have when you're sleeping. More often than not they are pretty weird. Last night I dreamt I was in a weight losing competition and Simon Cowell was the judge. I was standing in a long line of participants waiting for my turn on the scale. Each person who had gained a pound or two was getting a typical Simon 'butt whoopin'. I was so nervous about my turn on the scale that I thought I was going to pee my pants. When my turn came, I had gained 8 lbs. I just knew that Simon was going to say things that would make me break down crying. Instead he was very kind and sympathetic and told me these things take time to happen. Facts in this case: #1- Yes, I do need to lose weight. #2- I have never watched "THE BIGGEST LOSER". #3- I did need to go to the bathroom really bad when I woke up. Anyone want to interpret this dream?

New Beginnings

Time marches on so quickly and the little things that make life so wonderful are often forgotten. So today I begin my blogging journal so I can always remember the things that are important to me and how I feel when they happen. This is the beginning of the journal I've never kept.
