Scattered pictures of the smiles we've left behind.

I started a major project this weekend. Over the next few weeks or months, I will be achiving over 60 plus years of photo memories of days gone by. This particular photo is one of the few taken of me when I was a baby. Note: photo sessions were rare back in the olden day's, unlike the thousands of digital pictures taken of a child's first year in today's world.

It has been said a picture is worth a thousand words. I believe that's true as long as the photo's are identified with names, dates, and stories. This is the purpose of my project. I want my children and grandchildren to know and recognize the people who made an impact on my life.

I don't remember this day at all, but it truly is me! This is what I do know, my mother made the dress and bonnet I'm wearing. She loved to dress me up like a doll! She waited nine years after my brother (Martin) was born to bring me into this world. My sister Christine was 12 years old and Janet was 17. My mother was 37 years in age and my dad was 42. Yes, I was a big surprise and I'm also the caboose. I was spoiled rotten of course but I'll talk about that later.
